BIGDATA / PHP

Nineteen platformsin one PHP package

19 platforms, 21 driver keys, optional dependencies, and one API across six frameworks.

One package, nineteen platforms

bigdata-php connects to SQL and OLAP engines, the Hadoop ecosystem, schedulers, lakehouse metadata catalogs, and NoSQL stores through one PHP API.

HTTP drivers work out of the box; Hive and Cassandra dependencies are checked when the driver is created, while Doris/StarRocks pdo_mysql is checked only when SQL runs.

  • One entry point, isolated drivers
  • Optional dependencies on demand
  • Six frameworks share one Manager

Duoduo

A teal cartoon octopus wearing a PHP purple scarf, with eight colorful tentacles connecting SQL, Hadoop, lakehouse, scheduling and NoSQL, and a 19-platform badge on its head. It bobs, blinks, and sways its tentacles with each expression.

Eight tentacles, nineteen platforms, one API.

One entry point, many drivers

Drivers are created on demand and cached by name, with no unified SQL layer.

Unified driver management

BigData::driver creates and caches instances by name; unknown keys are rejected.

Optional dependencies

thrift and php-cassandra are checked when the driver is created; pdo_mysql is checked when SQL runs.

SQL and OLAP

Trino, Doris, StarRocks, Kylin, and Druid share one result convention.

Hadoop and lakehouse

WebHDFS, YARN, Hive, Spark, Flink, plus read-only lakehouse metadata.

Scheduling and NoSQL

Airflow, DolphinScheduler, Oozie, HBase, and Cassandra.

Six framework adapters

Laravel, ThinkPHP, Webman, Hyperf, Yii2, and Yii3.

How the package grew

Four releases that added drivers, frameworks, tests, and quality gates.

v1.0.0

Unify 19 platforms

The first Composer package ships 19 platforms as 21 driver keys.

v1.1.0

PHP 8 and six adapters

PHP 8.1 syntax is removed, six framework adapters and four diagrams land.

v1.2.0

Integration tests and drivers

Integration tests, Cassandra paging and writes, Hudi 1.0, and framework smoke tests.

v2.0.0

Shared support layer and lakehouse upgrades

Shared HTTP/exceptions, Hudi/Paimon S3, DeltaLog, Hive TLS, automatic framework config publishing, and quality gates.

GET STARTED

Install and use

One Composer command connects 19 platforms. Full installation, six framework integrations, 21 driver examples, and limitations live on the documentation page.

Install
composer require erikwang2013/bigdata-php
Quick start
use Erikwang2013\BigData\BigData;

$trino = BigData::driver('trino', [
    'host' => '127.0.0.1',
    'port' => 8080,
    'user' => 'php',
    'catalog' => 'hive',
    'schema' => 'default',
]);

$rows = $trino->query('SELECT 1 AS id')->rows();
